OWI:

On 12/31/2022 at 12:21 a.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the W7700 block of State Highway 81, in the Town of Jordan. Investigation resulted in Jackson U. Herrera Rizo, 31 of Monroe being arrested for OWI (1^st). Herrera Rizo was cited for Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration (1^st) and Operating without a Valid License. Herrera Rizo was later released to a responsible party pending court.

The following incident occurred on Thursday, December 29, 2022: 

Propane Tanker Rollover Crash with Minor Injury–  

At approximately 12:47 PM, Deputies, the Brodhead Fire Department, Green County EMS and the Wisconsin DNR, responded to the N1300 block of Mt. Hope Rd., Town of Spring Grove, for a report of a rollover crash involving a propane tanker.  

Investigation revealed the operator, Paul E. Babler, 52 of Rock City, IL, was traveling on Mt. Hope Rd. when the tanker truck entered the west ditch, lost traction, and rolled onto the driver’s side. Paul reported wearing his seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. There was no airbag deployment in the tanker and it was towed from the scene due to disabling damage. Paul was issued a citation for Failure to Maintain Control of his vehicle.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:

At 7:35 a.m., Deputies responded to the W800 block of County Highway F, in the Town of Decatur, for a two-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Jimmy L. Klenz, 45 of Brodhead was traveling westbound when he collided with a semi unit also traveling westbound. Klenz and his passenger advised they were not injured, were wearing their seatbelts, and the airbags did not deploy. Klenz’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.

The semi was operated by Travis E. Niles, 49 of Edgerton. Niles reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The semi sustained no damage and was driven from the scene.

The following incident occurred on Saturday, December 24, 2022: 

Disorderly Conduct –  

At approximately 5:07 PM, Deputies responded to the W1800 block of Hein Rd., Town of Decatur, for a report of a verbal altercation.  

Investigation resulted in the offender, Teryl F. Watson, 59 of Brodhead, being placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Damage to Property falling under Wisconsin’s Domestic Abuse Laws. Teryl was booked and released at the Green County Jail and was released to a responsible party with a future court date.

The following incident occurred on Friday, December 23, 2022:

Motor Vehicle Crash – 

At approximately 9:09 p.m., Deputies responded to 300 block of E. State St., Village of Albany, for a report of a two vehicle crash without injuries. Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with the driver, Hunter Brewer, 22, of Brodhead, who reported that he was traveling west bound when he had swerved to avoid a collision with another vehicle being operated on State St. When Hunter negotiated around the oncoming vehicle, he was unable to control his vehicle due to the snow covered roadway. Hunter's vehicle collided with the rear end of a parked vehicle owned by Beau York, 30, of Albany, where it came to a rest. Hunter reported wearing his safety belt and was uninjured. Both vehicles sustained functional damage with no airbag deployment. 

Hunter was issued citations for failure to maintain control and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.  

Disorderly Conduct Arrest –  

On 12/23/2022 at approximately 10:02 PM, Deputies and Monroe PD responded to N4721 Gutzmer Rd., Town of Monroe, for a report of an active physical disturbance. Investigation resulted in the offender, Caleb J. McIntosh, 18, being placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct - Domestic, Criminal Damage to Property and a warrant through the Department of Corrections. Caleb is being held at the Green County Jail pending his initial court appearance.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:

At 8:37 a.m., Deputies responded to the N8100 block of State Highway 69, in the Town of New Glarus for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Erica M.E. Appel, 40 of Monticello, was traveling northbound when she lost control of her vehicle due to snowy road conditions. Appel’s vehicle collided with a traffic sign before coming to rest in the ditch. Appel reported no injuries, was wearing her seat belt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.

The following incidents occurred on Wednesday, December 21^st, 2022:

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT-PROPERTY DAMAGE:

At approximately 6:37 PM, Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the W2600 block of State Highway 11, Town of Jefferson.

Investigations found that a vehicle operated by Aiden M Grey, 18, of Davis (IL), was westbound on State Highway 11 when a deer entered the roadway. Grey slowed his vehicle and was struck from the rear by a vehicle operated by Vaughn L Barker, 19, of Monroe. 

Grey and Barker both denied injury and reported wearing their seatbelts. The airbags in Barker’s vehicle deployed.

Grey’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene. Barker’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. 

OWI:

At 3:49 AM on 12/22/2022, Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash in the N1600 block of State Highway 69, Town of Clarno.

Investigations found Christopher L Brinkmeier, 30, of Monroe, was traveling southbound when he lost control of his vehicle and entered the West ditch, striking a road sign. Brinkmeier reported no injuries, reported wearing his seatbelt, and no airbag deployment. Brinkmeier’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was towed from the scene. 

As a result of the investigation Brinkmeier was arrested Operating While Under the Influence and Operating after Revocation.

The following incident occurred on Tuesday, December 20, 2022:

OWI Arrest - 

At approximately 5:20 PM, Deputies stopped and cited Anthony J. Klein, 36 of Beloit, for speed (71 MPH in a 55 MPH zone), in the W3800 block of State highway 11, Town of Sylvester. Further investigation resulted in Anthony being placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence of a Restricted Controlled Substance - 2nd Offense. Anthony was transported to the Green County Jail where he was released to a responsible party. 

Motor Vehicle Crash - 

At approximately 11:10 PM, Deputies responded to the W8700 block of State Highway 39, Town of York, for a report of a vehicle in the ditch. Investigation determined the operator, Olivia C. Saucedo, 24 of Mt. Horeb, was traveling west on STH 39 when she swerved to miss a deer. The vehicle entered the north ditch and became stuck in a wooded embankment. Olivia reported wearing her seatbelt and not being injured. There was airbag deployment in the vehicle, and it was towed from the scene due to disabling damage.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:

At 4:53 p.m., Deputies responded to the W300 block of State Highway 11, in the Town of Decatur, for a single vehicle rollover with no injuries. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Tanner K. Schwartz, 21 of Franklin was traveling eastbound and attempted to turn southbound on Brodhead Airport Road. Schwartz failed to negotiate the turn due to snowy road conditions. The vehicle struck a stop sign and continued into the ditch and overturned. Schwartz reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. The Brodhead Police Department assisted on the scene.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-INJURY:

At 5:42 p.m., Deputies along with Brodhead Fire Department and Brodhead EMS responded to the N200 block of County Highway G, in the Town of Spring Grove, for a single vehicle crash with injuries. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Stevie N. Franklin, 36 of Davis IL was traveling northbound when she was unable to see the road due to snowy weather conditions. Franklin’s vehicle then entered the east ditch and came to rest. Franklin reported non-life-threatening injuries, was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Franklin was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:

At 6:58 p.m., Deputies responded to the N2400 block of Balls Mill Road, in the Town of Jefferson, for the report of a single vehicle crash with no injuries. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Skyler A. Seel, 17 of Janesville was traveling northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle then struck a mailbox and entered the ditch and came to rest. Seel and his passenger reported no injuries, were wearing their seatbelts, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.

The following incident occurred on Thursday, December 15, 2022:

Motor Vehicle Crash – 

At approximately 2:17 PM, were called to the intersection of Suburban Dr. and CTH E, Town of Albany, for a report of a truck that slid through the intersection, struck a fiber optic box and left the scene. 

Investigation determined that a truck being operated by Caylor R. Burns, 21 of Orfordville, was traveling west when he slid through the intersection. Caylor advised that he was unaware he struck any objects. Caylor reported wearing his seatbelt and not being injured. The truck sustained minor, functional damage with no airbag deployment. Caylor was cited for Expired Registration and was warned for Operating too Fast for Conditions. 

OWI Arrest – 

On 12/15/2022 at approximately 6:33 PM, Deputies and Monroe PD were called to the W6600 block of Vogel Rd., Town of Monroe, for a report of a vehicle stuck in a field. 

Investigation determined the operator, Shane W. Reinicke, 43 of Blanchardville, was traveling west on Vogel Rd. when he drifted off of the south side of the roadway. His vehicle traveled down a steep embankment, went through a barbed wire fence and came to a rest in a field. 

Further investigation resulted in Shane being placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol - 1st Offense. Shane was also cited for Resisting an Officer, Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle and Failure to Maintain Control of his vehicle. Shane was jailed at the Green County Jail.

The following incident occurred on Wednesday, December 14, 2022: 

Motor Vehicle Crash With Injury –  

At approximately 12:55 PM, Deputies, the Brodhead Fire Department, Brodhead Police Department, Albany EMS, and the Rock County Sheriff’s Officer responded to the intersection of STH 104 and St. John Rd., Town of Decatur, for a report of a two vehicle crash with injuries.  

Investigation determined Richard A. Bennett, 38 of Brodhead, was traveling southbound on STH 104 when a vehicle pulled out in front of him from St. John Rd. Richard was unable to avoid the collision and struck the vehicle. John reported wearing his seatbelt and sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash. The vehicle had airbag deployment and was towed from the scene due to disabling damage. Albany EMS transported John for his injuries. 

The eastbound vehicle being operated by Margaret J. Exum, 88 of Brodhead, failed to yield the right-of-way when attempting to turn onto STH 104 from St. John Rd. Margaret reported wearing her seatbelt and sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash. The vehicle had airbag deployment and was towed from the scene due to disabling damage. Margaret was transported by Brodhead EMS for her injuries.  

Motor Vehicle Crash With Injury –  

At approximately 9:13 PM, Deputies responded to the N9400 block of State Highway 69, Town of New Glarus, for a report of a two vehicle crash with no injury.  

Investigation determined a northbound vehicle being operated by Becky Deegan, 53 of New Glarus, slowed down to turn west onto Spring Valley Rd. While doing so, another northbound vehicle being operated by James Lutz, 46 of Fitchburg, struck Becky in the rear of her vehicle. Both drivers reported wearing their seatbelts. Becky reported a minor injury but declined medical services and James declined any injury. Both vehicle had airbag deployment and were towed from the scene due to disabling damage.  

James was issued a citation for Inattentive Driving.

The following incident occurred on Sunday, December 11, 2022:

Possession of THC – 

At approximately 9:17 PM, Deputies stopped and cited Mackenzie L. Bechtolt, 18 of South Wayne, for speed, 73 MPH in a 55 MPH zone, in the W7800 block of County Highway B, Town of Cadiz.

Further investigation resulted in Mackenzie also being cited for Possession of THC – Less Than 25 Grams. Mackenzie was released with a future court date. 

Disorderly Conduct, Domestic Abuse – 

At approximately 10:25 PM, Deputies responded to the W2800 block of Milwaukee St., Town of Exeter, for a report of a disturbance. 

Investigation resulted in the offender, Dorothy C. Patterson, 37 of Belleville, being arrested for Disorderly Conduct falling under the Wisconsin Domestic Abuse laws. Dorothy was transported to the Green County Jail where she was booked and released with a future court date.

The following incident occurred on Saturday, December 10, 2022: 

Disorderly Conduct –  

At approximately 9:49 AM, Deputies responded to the N8800 block of CTH D, Town of Exeter, for a report of a verbal disturbance in a home.  

Investigation resulted the involved parties, Nathaniel T. Stubbs, 44 of Belleville, and Kayla J. Fitzgerald, 32 of Belleville, being cited for one count of Disorderly Conduct each. 

Motor Vehicle Crash with Injury –  

At approximately 6:46 PM, deputies responded to the W6200 block of County Highway H, Town of New Glarus, for a report of a single vehicle rollover crash. The caller advised at the time of the call that there were no injuries. 

Investigation determined the operator, Charles B. Rubio Sr., 51 of Argyle, was traveling west on CTH H when he observed an animal in the roadway. Charles swerved into the north shoulder of the roadway. Upon doing so, Charles’ vehicle lost control on the slush covered shoulder. The vehicle began sliding sideways and then struck a culvert sending the vehicle airborne over a driveway. The vehicle landed and began rolling and came to a rest on the roof with no airbag deployment after sustaining disabling damage. 

Charles and his passenger, Rena L. Alderman, 42 of Argyle, both reported wearing their seatbelts. Charles was not injured and Rena reported a minor injury that she declined medical attention for. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

The following incident occurred on Friday, December 09, 2022:

Motor Vehicle Crash with Injury –  

At approximately 7:57 AM, Deputies responded to the N1800 block of County Highway S, Town of Jefferson, for a report of a single vehicle crash with no reported injuries.  

Investigation determined the operator, Kari L. Grinnell, 30 of Juda, was traveling north on CTH S when she lost traction on the snow and ice-covered roadway. Kari’s vehicle entered the east ditch, struck a mailbox and came to a rest after crossing a private driveway.  

Kari reported wearing her seatbelt and possibly sustaining a non-life threatening injury. 

The vehicle had airbag deployment, sustained disabling damage and was later towed from the scene. Kari was taken by private vehicle for evaluation of possible injuries. 

Motor Vehicle Crash –  

At approximately 8:49 AM, deputies responded to the N5600 block of State Highway 104, Town of Albany, for a report of a single vehicle crash.  

Investigation determined the operator, Hickory L. Daniels, 37 of Juda, was traveling south on STH 104 when he lost control of his vehicle on the snow and ice covered roadway. Hickory’s vehicle eneterd the west ditch, traveled over a culvert and collided with an embankment.  

Hickory reported wearing his seatbelt and not being injured. The vehicle sustained disabling damage with no airbag deployment and was towed from the scene.  

Motor Vehicle Crash – 

At approximately 1:25 PM, Deputies responded to the W7200 block of Smock Valley Rd., Town of Monroe, for a report of a single vehicle crash.  

Investigation determined the operator, Timothy M. McGuire, 60 of Monroe, was traveling east when he moved towards the shoulder of the road to avoid an oncoming westbound vehicle. Timothy advised his vehicle was then pulled into the ditch by the slushy snow where it struck a cement culvert.  

Timothy reported wearing his seatbelt and not being injured. The vehicle sustained disabling damage with no airbag deployment and was towed from the scene.  

Bail Jumping Arrest –  

At approximately 3:08 PM, Deputies responded to the N8800 block of County Highway D, Town of Exeter for a report of a Bail Jumping violation. Investigation resulted in Kendrick J. Eichelkraut, 32 of Belleville, was arrested for one county of Felony Bail Jumping. Kendrick was taken into custody without issue and was housed at the Green County Jail pending his initial court appearance.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:

At 11:09 p.m., Deputies responded to the W7100 block of Pioneer Road, in the Town of New Glarus, for a single vehicle crash with no injuries. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Muhammet E. Aktas 22, of Wisconsin Dells was traveling westbound when he reportedly swerved to avoid deer in the roadway. The vehicle then entered the north ditch a collided with a metal pole. Aktas reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.

The following events occurred on December 7, 2022:

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:

At 6:50 a.m., Deputies responded to the N3400 block of State Highway 81, in the Town of Monroe, for a single vehicle crash with no injuries. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Joseph A. Buening 32, of Mount Horeb was traveling southbound on State Highway 81. Buening’s vehicle sustained a flat tire causing his vehicle to enter the ditch and collide with a fence. Buening reported no injuries and the vehicle airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST:

At 9:50 a.m., Deputies responded to the 2800 block of 6^th Street, in the City of Monroe to assist Probation and Parole Agents. Investigation resulted in Randall S. Zuber 44, of Monticello being arrested for a warrant through Probation and Parole. Zuber was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.

The following incident occurred on Monday, December 05, 2022: 

Car Vs. Deer Crash with Injury –  

On 12/05/2022 at approximately 6:15 PM, Deputies and the Belleville PD responded to the N9500 blk of STH 92, Town of Exeter, for a report of a car vs. deer crash with injury.  

Investigation determined the operator, Jodie A. Fuller, 35 of Belleville, was traveling south/east on STH 92 when a deer entered the roadway, striking her vehicle. Jodie's vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front, passenger side bumper and had airbag deployment. Jodie and her passenger, Ethan, 9, were both wearing their seatbelts and sustained minor injuries. Jodie and Ethan denied medical attention. The vehicle was later towed due to disabling damage.

The following events occurred on December 4, 2022:

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-INJURY:

At 8:06 p.m., Deputies, along with Monroe Rural Fire Department and Green County EMS responded to the W7100 block of State Highway 11, in the Town of Clarno, for the report of a car versus deer crash with unknown injuries. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Sherri L. Bates, 57 of Monroe was traveling eastbound when a deer entered the roadway and collided with her vehicle. Bates reported non-life-threatening injuries and was wearing her seatbelt. Bates was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The vehicle's airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was towed from the scene. The Monroe Police Department assisted at the scene.

The following incident occurred on Friday, December 02, 2022: 

Motor Vehicle Crash – 

At approximately 6:41 AM, Deputies responded to the intersection of County Highway D and County Highway C, Town of Mt. Pleasant, for a report of a single vehicle crash.

Investigation revealed the operator, John P. Durling, 35 of Fitchburg, was southbound on CTH D when he fell asleep at the wheel. John continued through the intersection, left the roadway, struck a sign and came to a rest in a field.

John reported wearing his seatbelt and not being injured. The vehicle had airbag deployment and was towed from the scene due to disabling damage. John was cited for Inattentive Driving. 

Disorderly Conduct Arrest – 

At approximately 10:27 PM, Deputies responded to a residence in the N8800 block of County Highway D, in the Town of Exeter, for the report of a disturbance. Investigation resulted in Kendrick J. Eichelkraut 31, of Belleville being arrested for two counts Felony Bail Jumping, Disorderly Conduct, and Felony Strangulation. Eichelkraut was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court.

The following incident occurred on Thursday, December 01, 2022: 

OWI Arrest –  

At approximately 8:45 PM, Deputies responded to the N6800 block of State Highway 104, Town of Albany, for a report of a southbound vehicle traveling at an extremely slow rate of speed with the driver slumped over the wheel. Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. While attempting to speak with the driver, later identified as Scott D. Phillips, 50 of Evansville, Scott fled from the scene in his vehicle at approximately 10 MPH. Shortly after fleeing from the stop location, Scott traveled off of the roadway and entered a field on the west side of the roadway where his vehicle came to a stop. 

Scott was then placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol – 1^st Offense, Knowingly Fleeing an Officer, and Resisting Arrest. Scott was also cited for Impeding Traffic by Slow Speed, Operating Left of Center and Failure to Maintain Control of his Vehicle. Scott was transported to the Green County Jail where he will be held pending his initial court appearance.

The following incident occurred on Sunday, November 27, 2022: 

Motor Vehicle Crash –  

At approximately 1:15 PM, Deputies responded to the intersection of County Highway J and State Highway 81, Town of Monroe, for a single vehicle crash. 

Investigation determined the operator, Terrance M. Bruce Jr., 24 of Sterling, IL, was traveling west on STH 81 when he attempted to turn right onto CTH J. Terrance failed to properly negotiate the turn and collided with the northwest guardrail. Terrance was not injured and reported wearing his seatbelt. The vehicle had airbag deployment and was towed from the scene due to disabling damage.  

OWI Arrest –  

On 11/27/2022 at approximately 5:49 PM, Deputies responded to the N4800 blk of STH 104, Town of Decatur, for a report of a slow traveling vehicle all over the roadway. Deputies located the vehicle, which was traveling approximately 15 MPH in a posted 55 MPH zone, and conducted a traffic stop. The operator, Duane A. Zoller, 54 of Monticello, was subsequently arrested for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol - 5th Offense. Duane was also issued a citation for Impeding Traffic by Slow Speed. Duane was transported to the Green County Jail where he will be housed pending his initial court appearance.

The following incident occurred on Saturday, November 26, 2022: 

Disorderly Conduct Arrest –  

On 11-26-22 at about 10:48 AM deputies responded to N2400 block of VanMatre Ln. in the Town of Clarno for a domestic dispute. As a result of the investigation Autumn G. Elmer, Monroe, 18, was arrested for disorderly conduct falling under the Wisconsin Domestic Abuse laws. Autumn was transported to the Green County Jail where she was released after posting of her bond. 

The victim enforced the 72 hour no contact prohibition.  

At approximately 3:04 PM, Deputies responded back to the address as Autumn had returned, which violated the 72 hour no contact prohibition. Autumn was subsequently arrested for a Temporary Restraining Order Violation and was booked into the Green County Jail pending posting of her bond or her initial court appearance.

Further investigation resulted in Adam being placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol - 1st Offense. Adam was additionally charged with two counts of Resisting and Obstructing an Officer. Adam was jailed pending posting of his bond or his initial court appearance.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:

At 5:54 a.m., Deputies responded to the W3900 block of County Highway EE, in the Town of Mount Pleasant, for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Kalley J. Crouch 22, of Monticello was traveling eastbound when she lost control of her vehicle due to icy road conditions. Crouch then entered the south ditch. Crouch reported non-life-threatening injuries. Crouch reported wearing her seatbelt and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-INJURY

At 10:28 a.m., Deputies along with New Glarus Fire Department and New Glarus EMS responded to the intersection of County Highway J and County Highway A, in the Town of York, for a two-vehicle crash with injuries. 

Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Kevin L. Hewitt 67, of Apple River IL was traveling eastbound on County Highway A and turned North bound onto County Highway J, when the vehicle was struck by another vehicle traveling southbound on County Highway J. Hewitt and passenger reported wearing their seatbelts and the airbags had deployed. Hewitt and passenger reported non-life-threatening injuries and were transported by EMS to an area hospital for treatment. Hewitt’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

The southbound vehicle was operated by Gregory R. Nelson 62, of Madison. Nelson and passenger reported wearing their seatbelts and the airbags had deployed. Nelson and passenger reported non-life-threatening injuries and were transported by EMS to an area hospital for treatment. Nelson’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Investigation resulted in Hewitt being cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way from Stop Sign. Hewitt was released pending court.

On 11/24/2022 at 12:17 a.m., Deputies responded to the W7200 block of County Highway H, in the Town of New Glarus for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Raymond J. Valentine Jr. 17, of Monticello was traveling eastbound when he lost control of the vehicle and entered the north ditch. Valentine and his passengers reported no injuries, were wearing their seatbelts, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Valentine was cited for Failure to Control Vehicle. Valentine was released pending court.

OWI:

On 11/24/2022 at 12:30 a.m., Deputies checked on a vehicle parked on the shoulder of the roadway in the N6000 block of CTH J, in the Town of Adams.  The investigation resulted in Carson J. Brewer 17, of Albany, being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence (1st offense).  Brewer was also cited for Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration and Possession of Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle.  Brewer was released to a responsible party pending court.

Motor Vehicle Crash –  

On 11/21/2022 at 5:41 AM, Deputies responded to the N5000 block of County Highway E, Albany Township, for a one vehicle accident with no injuries.  Investigation found that a vehicle operated by, Austin J. Ferguson, 27 of Brodhead, was traveling north on CTH E and failed to negotiate a curve.   Ferguson's vehicle struck a traffic post and traveled up an embankment before coming to rest.  Ferguson reported no injuries and was wearing his seatbelt.  There was no airbag deployment in the vehicle.  The vehicle was removed by private vehicle.  

Motor Vehicle Crash with Injury –  

On 11/21/2022 at approximately 5:17 PM, Deputies, the Monroe Rural Fire Department and Green County EMS, responded to the intersection of CTH J and STH 81 for a two-vehicle crash with injury.  

Investigation determined, Alana L. Neis, 18 of Cuba City, was at the stop sign on CTH J and STH 81, facing south waiting to turn east bound on STH 81. Alana began to turn and did not see an oncoming vehicle traveling west in the west bound lane of STH 81. The west bound vehicle, operated by Susan R. Miller, 67 of Argyle, attempted to avoid Alana's vehicle, but was not successful and struck the front of Alana's vehicle with the front passenger side of her vehicle. 

Alana and her juvenile passenger both reported wearing their seatbelts and not being injured. There was airbag deployment in the vehicle and it was towed due to disabling damage. Alana was transported by EMS to be evaluated further by medical staff. Alana was mailed a citation for Inattentive Driving. 

Susan reported wearing her seatbelt and sustained non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage and Susan was transported by EMS for further evaluation.

Investigation resulted in Samantha R.M. Estep 36, of Monroe being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence (2^nd). Estep was later released to a responsible party pending court.

At 11:13 a.m., Deputies responded to the 300 block of Vine Street, in the Village of Albany, for the report of a two-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Diontay M. Davis 39, of Janesville was attempting to back into a driveway when it collided with another vehicle. Davis was not injured, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Davis’ vehicle did not sustain damage and was driven from the scene.

The second vehicle was operated by Amanda L. Hedlund 32, of Albany. Hedlund and her passengers reported no injuries, were wearing their seatbelts, and the airbags did not deploy. Hedlund’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.

Motor Vehicle Crash-Property Damage:

At 11:55 a.m., Deputies responded to the N8200 block of State Highway 69, in the Town of New Glarus for the report of a two-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Jesse E. Schneiter 33, of Monroe was in the northbound lane waiting to make a left hand turn when his vehicle was rear-ended. Schneiter reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Schneiter’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.

The second vehicle was operated by Kenneth L. Morrison Jr. 64, of Burlington. Morrison reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did deploy. Morrison’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was removed from the scene. Investigation resulted in Morrison being cited for Inattentive Driving. Morrison was released pending court. The New Glarus Police Department assisted at the scene.

At 12:10 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a speed violation in the N6200 block of State Highway 69. Investigation resulted in the driver, Musa Baldeh 34, of Madison being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence (1^st). Baldeh was also cited for Possession of THC and speeding. Baldeh was released to a responsible party pending court.

WARRANT ARREST:

At 1:19 p.m., in the 2800 block of 6^th Street in the City of Monroe, Deputies arrested Sydney A. Schulz 20, of Freeport for a warrant through Probation and Parole. Schulz was incarcerated at the Iowa County Jail.

BAIL JUMPING:

At 9:09 p.m., Deputies responded to the N9200 block of State Highway 69 for the report of subjects fighting in a vehicle. Investigation resulted in James Walker III 45, of Milwaukee being arrested for Bail Jumping. Walker was incarcerated at the Green County Jail for Bail Jumping and a Probation and Parole hold. The New Glarus Police Department assisted at the scene.

Motor Vehicle Crash –   

At approximately 5:01 PM, Deputies and the New Glarus Police Department responded to the N9200 block of County Highway J, Town of York, for a report of a two-vehicle crash with no injury.

Investigation determined that Michaela K. Gilbertson, 26 of Monroe, was traveling south on CTH J when she hit a patch of ice and crossed the centerline. Michaela’s vehicle then struck a northbound vehicle being operated by Stephanie L. Howell, 24 of Roberts, WI.

Michaela reported wearing her seatbelt and not being injured. There was no airbag deployment in her vehicle and it was towed from the scene due to disabling damage.

Stephanie reported wearing her seatbelt and not being injured. There was side airbag deployment in her vehicle and it was towed from the scene due to disabling damage. 

No citations were issued.

Motor Vehicle Crash –  

At approximately 6:01 AM, Deputies responded to the W6800 block of State Highway 81, Town of Monroe, for a report of a vehicle in the ditch.  

Investigation determined the operator, Grace E. Anderson, 31 of Argyle, was traveling east when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered roadway. The vehicle the spun into the west bound lane where it was struck by an oncoming vehicle. Grace’s vehicle was then pushed into the north ditch by the oncoming vehicle. The oncoming vehicle did not remain on scene.  

Grace reported wearing her seatbelt, not being injured and there was no airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene after being removed from the ditch.  

Disorderly Conduct –  

At approximately 8:10 PM, Deputies responded to the 100 block of Water St., Village of Albany, in an attempt to locate Eric A. Calkins, 35 of Albany, for pending charges from an incident that occurred on 11/11/2022.  

Deputies located Eric and placed him under arrest for Disorderly Conduct – Domestic Abuse, Unlawful Use of the Telephone and Stalking. Eric was transported to the Green County Jail where he will be held pending his initial court appearance.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-INJURY:

At 7:08 a.m., Deputies, along with Monroe Rural Fire Department and Green County EMS responded to the W7000 block of State Highway 11 for a single vehicle rollover crash.

Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by William L. Kuntz 20, of Monroe was traveling westbound on State Highway 11. When Kuntz lost control of the vehicle due to the snowy road conditions. The vehicle entered the south ditch and rolled over. Kuntz sustained minor injuries. Kuntz reported wearing his seatbelt and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Kuntz was cited for Operate Motor Vehicle without Insurance. Kuntz was released pending court.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:

At 8:42 a.m., Deputies, along with Brooklyn Fire Department and Brooklyn EMS responded to the W700 block of Yarwood Road for a car versus power pole crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Chad R. Karolczak 18, of Brooklyn was traveling eastbound on Yarwood Road, when he lost control of his vehicle due to the snowy road conditions. The vehicle then entered the ditch and collided with a power pole. Karolczak advised of no injuries and was wearing his seatbelt. The vehicle airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.

DRUG/NARCOTICS VIOLATION:

At 2:35 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a speed violation in the W4200 block of State Highway 11. Investigation resulted in the driver, Jericho Z. Blades 21, of Monticello being arrested for Manufacture/Delivery of THC and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Blades was incarcerated at the Green County Jail. 

OWI/MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-INJURY:

On 11/16/22 at 12:13 a.m., Deputies, along with Brodhead Fire Department and Brodhead EMS responded to the N2400 block of County Highway GG for the report of a single vehicle roll over crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Andrew J. Gutzmer 22, of Monticello was traveling westbound on State Highway 81. Gutzmer failed to stop at the stop sign and proceeded onto County Highway GG. The vehicle then entered the west ditch and collided with a building. The vehicle then overturned. Gutzmer reported wearing his seatbelt and the vehicle airbags deployed. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Gutzmer was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigation resulted in Gutzmer being arrested for operating while under the influence (1^st) (alcohol). Gutzmer was later released to a responsible party pending court. The Brodhead Police Department assisted at the scene.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-INJURY:

At 11:03 a.m., Deputies, along with Juda First Response and Green County EMS, responded to a residence in the W4200 block of State Highway 11 for a vehicle versus pedestrian crash with injuries.

Investigation revealed that Mark L. Boelk 63, of Monroe was attempting to park the vehicle, when he accidentally pressed the accelerator pedal instead of the brake pedal. This caused the vehicle to accelerate and strike a pedestrian. Boelk reported no injuries, was not wearing a seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The pedestrian, a 70-year-old of Juda sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The vehicle sustained functional damage.

The following incident occurred on Sunday, November 13, 2022: 

Motor Vehicle Crash with Injury –  

At approximately 5:25 PM, Deputies responded to the N4500 block of County Highway E, Town of Decatur, for a car versus deer crash with injury. Investigation determined the operator, Jessica L. Sandlin, 36 of Brodhead, was traveling on CTH E, when a deer entered the roadway. Jessica was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the driver side of her vehicle causing the window to shatter.  

Jessica reported wearing her seatbelt and there was no airbag deployment. Jessica sustained non-life-threatening injuries from the shattered glass and declined medical treatment. The car was driven from the scene.  

Possession of THC –  

At approximately 1:00 AM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of W. 21^st St., City of Monroe. The traffic stop resulted in the operator, Austyn C.W. Southall, 22 of Monroe, being cited for Possession of THC – Less than 25 Grams. Austyn was released with a future court date.

At 9:01 PM, Deputies responded to a residence in the N900 blk of Woodman Rd, Clarno Township, for a report of a wanted person at the property.  Deputies arrested to Donald W. Pitman, 55, of Albany on a warrant through Stephenson County, Illinois. Pitman was transported to the Green County Jail and is being held pending court.

Town of Monroe – The Green County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a bridge fire as an arson.   The Green County Communications Center received a 911 call at 2:25 AM from a resident in the area reporting a fire to the bridge for the Badger State Recreation Trail at Round Grove Road.   Monroe Rural Fire Department along with Juda Fire Department and Monticello Fire Department responded to the scene along with Sheriff’s Deputies.  

Responding units located the wooden structured bridge engulfed in flames.  Fire Fighters were able to contain and extinguish the fire.   The bridge was constructed for the railroad bed prior to being converted to the recreational trail.  The bridge sustained extensive damage from the fire and was previously damage from a motor vehicle crash on July 1, 2022.  The overall damage posed a public safety risk for motorists and recreational trail users due to the structural instability.  

The Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau responded to the scene.  A Detective with specialized training in arson investigations determined the fire was set by a deliberate act.  The Sheriff’s Office investigation is underway, Detectives ask for anybody on the recreational trail or roadway that may have observed suspicious activity in the overnight hours to report it to Green County Crime Stoppers.

Green County Highway Department responded and evaluated the bridge.  Based off the evaluation by Highway Department, Monroe Rural Fire Department and Sheriff’s Office it was determined the bridge would be removed to protect motorist and recreational trail users.   The roadway will be closed for the duration of the day while the bridge is removed.

Accident- Personal Injury

At 5:11 a.m. GRSO Deputies, Juda FD and Green County EMS responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries, at the intersection of STH 11 and CTH OK, Town of Spring Grove.  A vehicle operated by Felipe Herrera Duran, 60, Monroe, was facing eastbound on STH 11, waiting to turn left/northbound onto CTH OK, with his left turn signal illuminated.  An eastbound truck operated by Kevin William Tucker, 29, Worthington, IA, failed to stop for the vehicle waiting to turn, and rear ended the vehicle operated by Herrera Duran.  This collision pushed Herrera Duran's vehicle into the ditch.

Herrera Duran's vehicle sustained disabling rear end damage and was towed from the scene.  There was no airbag deployment.  Herrera Duran reported wearing his seatbelt and was transported for injuries sustained in the crash.  Herrera Duran was cited for OAR- Alcohol and was released pending a mandatory court date.

The truck operated by Tucker sustained moderate front end damage and there was no airbag deployment.  The truck was driven from the scene.  Tucker reported wearing his seatbelt. Tucker was cited for inattentive driving and released with a non mandatory court date.

The following incident occurred on Saturday, November 05, 2022:

At approximately 11:59 PM deputies were checking on a disabled motorist in the 1700 block of 13th AVE in the City of Monroe. During the deputies contact with the driver, Kevin J. Stuart, 49, of Monroe, it was determined Stuart was operating a motor vehicle while impaired. He was arrested for OWI 3rd Offense. He was taken to the Green County Jail where he was waiting to post bond or court.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PERSONAL INJURY:

At approximately 10:30 PM, Deputies along with Belleville EMS responded to the N7600 block of County Highway CC, Town of Exeter, for a single vehicle accident with reported injuries.

Investigations found that the driver, Royce J Brauer, 19, of Monroe, was northbound on County Highway CC when the vehicle left the roadway and entered the East embankment. Brauer’s vehicle struck a hay bale and came to rest. Brauer sustained injuries, reported wearing his seatbelt, and no airbag deployment.

Brauer’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

The Green County Coroner's Office is confirming the name of the individual that died following an incident on 10/22/22 in the Village of Browntown WI as Samuel Santiago, 19 of Milwaukee WI 

On 10-24-2022 a forensic examination was completed. Preliminary results of the examination support Samuel Santiago died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.   Additional testing is underway at this time. 

The death remains under investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and the Green County Coroner's Office.

ACCIDENT- PERSONAL INJURY:

At approximately 12:53 PM, Deputies along with Monroe Rural Fire Department and Green County EMS responded to the intersection of Mings Rd and Haddinger Rd, Town of Clarno, for a report of a motor vehicle versus bicyclist accident.

Investigations found a vehicle operated by Jayde M Kapple, 16, of Monroe, was southbound on Haddinger Rd when she failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection. Kapple struck a bicyclist turning northbound onto Haddinger Rd, identified as Marley J Lindsey, 60, of Monroe.

Lindsey sustained injuries as a result. Kapple and her three passengers all reported wearing their seatbelts and reported no injuries. Kapple’s vehicle was driven from the scene.

Kapple was cited for Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign and Violation of GDL Restrictions. Kapple was released with a court date.

ACCIDENT-PI

At 7:15 p.m., Deputies responded to the W1900 blk of Freidig Rd., Town of Brooklyn, for a one vehicle rollover with entrapment.   Deputies arrived on scene and assisted Brooklyn FD with removing the driver Donavon L Luchsinger, 78, Brooklyn from the vehicle.  Donavon was assessed by Brooklyn EMS, but was not transported.   Donavon reported not wearing his seatbelt and airbags did not deploy in the vehicle.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

OWI:

On 10/27/22 at 8:44 PM, Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle for a defective head light in the N2000 block of CTH S, Town of Jefferson. A slow speed vehicle pursuit took place stop sticks were deployed twice before the pursuit was terminated. The driver, Jay J. Foulker, Monroe, 52, was later located at a residence. Foulker was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs 1st offense and cited for fail to stop at a stop sign, left of center, defective headlight, and speeding. Foulker was also arrested for knowingly fleeing an officer. He was incarcerated at the jail pending court.

At approximately 10:33 p.m., deputies arrested Kendrick J. Eichelkraut, Belleville, 31, for disorderly conduct and bail jumping after deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute taking place in the N8800 block of CTH D in the Town of Exeter. He was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-INJURY:

At 1:43 p.m., Deputies along with New Glarus Fire Department and New Glarus EMS, responded to the N6400 block of State Highway 39, in the Town of New Glarus for a motorcycle crash with injuries. Investigation revealed that the motorcycle, operated by Mark A. Begin, 70 of Madison, was traveling westbound when Begin failed to negotiate a curve. The motorcycle then entered the ditch and overturned, causing Begin to be ejected. Begin was wearing a helmet and protective equipment. Begin sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for further treatment. The motorcycle was towed from the scene.

BROWNTOWN, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) is investigating an officer involved critical incident in Lafayette and Green Counties, Wis. that occurred on the afternoon of Saturday, October 22, 2022.

Lafayette County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a cross-county vehicle pursuit that began in Grant County following an incident that occurred in Dubuque, Iowa. At approximately 2:34 p.m., the Deputy deployed a spike strip, and the vehicle drove in the direction of the deputy, who discharged their firearm while in Lafayette County. The vehicle later crashed in Green County, where the driver fled on foot. As law enforcement was searching for the subject, a gunshot was heard and the individual was found near State Highway 11, west of County M. First responders administered first aid, but the individual died at the scene. A firearm was recovered at the scene.

No law enforcement personnel were injured during the incident.

The involved Deputy from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office has been placed on administrative leave, per department policy.

DCI is leading this investigation and is assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol, DCI Crime Response Specialist, Wisconsin State Crime Lab and Belleville Police Department. All involved law enforcement are fully cooperating with DCI during this investigation.

DCI is continuing to review evidence and determine the facts of this incident and will turn over investigative reports to the Lafayette County District Attorney when the investigation concludes.

WARRANT ARREST:

On 10/22/22 at 12:29 a.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding in the N6400 block of State Highway 104. As a result, the driver, Clarence E. Bell Jr. 27, of West Allis was arrested on two warrants through Probation in Washington County Iowa. Bell was also cited for speeding and Operate Without a Valid License (2^nd/within 3 years) (Traffic Crime). Bell was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.

The following incidents occurred on Wednesday, October, 19. 2022:

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH- PROPERTY DAMAGE:

At 8:01 AM, Deputies responded to the intersection of CTH KK and Radio Ln., Town of Sylvester, for a report of a two car accident with no injuries.

Investigation found that a vehicle operated by Zachary K.S. Turner M/W DOB: 10/03/91 of Monroe was initially westbound on CTH KK and was waiting to turn onto Radio Ln., when a second vehicle rear ended his vehicle. The second vehicle operated by Lindsay M. Leuzinger F/W DOB: 05/18/06 of Monroe. Leuzinger attempted to stop, but the brakes failed and she struck Turner’s vehicle. 

Neither party were injured, both were wearing their seatbelts, and neither vehicle had airbag deployment. Turner’s vehicle sustained minor rear end damage and was driven from the scene. Leuzinger’s vehicle sustained suspected minor damage to its front end and was towed from the No citations were issued.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH- INJURY

At 11:45 AM, Deputies along Albany Fire Department, Albany EMS, Albany Police and Brodhead EMS responded to a one vehicle crash with injuries in the W1200 block of Bump Road, Town of Albany. 

Investigation determined that a westbound pick up truck operated by Jordi M. Frausto Martinez 22, of Beloit lost control entering the ditch and overturning. Frausto Martinez sustained non life threatening injuries and was transported by Albany EMS. Frausto Martinez was wearing his seatbelt and was not ejected or trapped. A passenger in the vehicle sustained non life-threatening injuries and was transported to SSM Monroe by Brodhead EMS. The passenger was wearing their seatbelt and was not ejected or trapped. The vehicle sustained severe disabling damage with no airbag deployment and towed from the scene. 

Frausto Martinez was cited for Operating without a Valid License and Failure to Maintain Control of a Motor Vehicle. He was released pending court. 

WARRANT ARREST:

At 2:00 PM, Deputies responded to 2841 6th Street, City of Monroe for a warrant arrest. Deputies arrested Caleb J. McIntosh, 18 of Monroe for a Probation warrant.

BAIL JUMPING:

At 6:37 AM Deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding on State Hwy 39 near Tyvand Road, Town of York.  Investigation into the stop resulted in the driver William W. Welacha, 36, of Dodgeville being arrested for Bail Jumping (2 Counts). Welacha was cited for speeding 91/55 MPH, Operating After Suspension and Failure to Install Ignition Interlock Device. Welacha was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending bond or court.

WARRANT ARREST:

At 1:17p.m., in the 2800 block of 6^th Street, in the City of Monroe. Deputies arrested Travis L. Murray, 38, of Monroe on an arrest warrant through the Rock County Sheriff’s Office. Murray was incarcerated at the Rock County Jail. 

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH- INJURY:

At 3:24 PM, Deputies along with Argyle EMS and Argyle Fire Department responded to the N6600 block of Biggs Rd, Town of Adams, for a single vehicle rollover accident with injuries.

Investigations found the driver, a 16 year old of Argyle, was northbound when a deer entered the roadway. The driver reported applying the brakes and swerving to avoid the collision. The vehicle slid into the East ditch and down an embankment where it overturned. 

The driver sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was evaluated by EMS. The driver reported wearing the seatbelt and no airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

At 10:10 pm, Deputies stopped Luis Aceituno, 28 of Monticello, for OAR, in the W4800 block of CTH KK, Sylvester Township. Aceituno was cited for OAR and was released with a mandatory court appearance.

WARRANT ARREST:

At 6:08 a.m., Deputies responded to a residence in the 300 block of West Main Street, in the Village of Brooklyn for multiple 911 calls made from the residence for a traffic complaint. Investigation resulted in Richard I. Hanson, 39 of Brooklyn being placed under arrest for a warrant through the Department of Corrections. Hanson was Jailed at the Green County Jail.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-INJURY:

At 7:34 a.m., Deputies along with Belleville Police Department, Fire Department, and EMS responded to the W3800 block of Nye Road, in the Town Exeter for the report of a single vehicle crash with injuries. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Samuel M. Crawford, 17 of Belleville was traveling westbound on Nye Road, when the vehicle entered the north ditch and collided with a culvert. The vehicle then overturned. Crawford reported wearing his seatbelt. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and the airbags deployed. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Crawford was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Crawford was cited for operating without a valid license. Crawford was released pending court.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE:

At 8:13 p.m., Deputies responded to a residence in the 400 block of North Monroe Street, in the Village of Monticello for the report of a domestic dispute. Investigation resulted in Bryce M. Klitzke, 27 of Monticello being arrested for Disorderly Conduct (Domestic Related) and False Imprisonment (Felony). Klitzke was jailed pending an initial court appearance.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-INJURY:

At 2:47 p.m., Deputies responded to the N7300 block of CTH D, in the Town of Mt Pleasant for a two-vehicle crash. The investigation revealed a

vehicle operated by Erin E Keyes,40 of Albany was southbound on CTH D. Another vehicle operated by Allan L Hurst,73 of Evansville was westbound on Nye Road. Hurst failed to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign, and struck Keyes.

Keyes reported non-life-threatening injuries and was wearing her seatbelt. Keyes passengers reported no injuries and were wearing their seatbelts. Hurst and his passenger reported no injuries and were wearing their seatbelts. Both vehicles sustained functional damage and were driven from the scene. There was no airbag deployment in either vehicle. Hurst was cited for Fail to Yield Right of Way from a Stop Sign and was released pending court. 

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH- Property Damage

At 6:25 p.m., Deputies responded to the N3700 block of STH 59, in the Town of Sylvester for a single vehicle accident. Investigation revealed that Donna M. Phillips, 84 of Monroe was traveling eastbound on STH 59. Phillips went to turn onto a private driveway and the vehicle entered the ditch. The vehicle then went down an embankment and struck a large rock. Donna and her passengers reported no injuries, and were wearing their seatbelts. The airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was towed from the scene.

OWI ARREST/MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-INJURY:

At 9:53 p.m., Deputies, Belleville Police Department, Brooklyn Fire Department, and Brooklyn EMS responded to the N8800 block of County Highway E, in the Town of Brooklyn for a single vehicle crash with injuries.

Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Megan E. Diaz.38 of Verona was traveling northbound on County Highway E. Diaz failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of State Highway 92. Diaz continued traveling north bound and proceeded into the north ditch. Diaz’s vehicle traveled through the air and landed in a corn field. The vehicle then continued through the corn field for approximately 100 yards before coming to rest. Diaz was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Diaz was transported to an area Hospital for further treatment. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was towed from the scene. The airbags did not deploy.

Diaz was arrested for OWI (1st-Alcohol) and was cited for Fail to Stop at a Stop Sign. Diaz was later released to a responsible party pending court.

OPERATE MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER THE INFLUENCE

At approximately 3:01 AM, deputies responded to the area of Farmers Grove Rd and Freitag Ln in the Town of New Glarus for report of a male passenger acting irate in a motor vehicle while it was in motion. As a result of the investigation the driver of the vehicle, Desyra D. Ott, 32 of Monticello was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants 1st offense. She was released pending court. The male passenger, Nate L. Anderson, 38, of Monticello, was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. Anderson was taken to the Green County Jail where he was released upon posting bond

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH

At approximately 11:26 AM, deputies responded to the intersection of Steiner Rd and Franklin Rd in the Town of Clarno for a report of a two vehicle crash. During the investigation it was learned a truck driven by Randy L. Goebel, 62, of Browntown, was stopped at the south end of the intersection on Steiner Rd. Goebel looked both ways and did not see any vehicles. As Goebel entered the intersection, a motorcycle operated by Jeffrey J. Christen, 64, of Belleville, collided with Goebel's truck. Christen was ejected. Christen was not wearing a helmet. Christen sustained life threatening injuries and was transported by a helicopter to a Madison hospital. Goebel was wearing a seatbelt and there was no airbag deployment in his vehicle. Goebel reported he was not injured. Goebel's vehicle sustained minor damage. Christen's motorcycle sustained severe damage. The Monroe Rural Fire Department, the Green County Area EMS and Med-flight assisted at the scene.

As a result of the investigation the driver of the vehicle, Desyra D. Ott, 32 of Monticello was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants 1st offense. She was released pending court. The male passenger, Nate L. Anderson, 38, of Monticello, was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. Anderson was taken to the Green County Jail where he was released upon posting bond

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH

At approximately 11:26 AM, deputies responded to the intersection of Steiner Rd and Franklin Rd in the Town of Clarno for a report of a two vehicle crash. During the investigation it was learned a truck driven by Randy L. Goebel, 62, of Browntown, was stopped at the south end of the intersection on Steiner Rd. Goebel looked both ways and did not see any vehicles. As Goebel entered the intersection, a motorcycle operated by Jeffrey J. Christen, 64, of Belleville, collided with Goebel's truck. Christen was ejected. Christen was not wearing a helmet. Christen sustained life threatening injuries and was transported by a helicopter to a Madison hospital. Goebel was wearing a seatbelt and there was no airbag deployment in his vehicle. Goebel reported he was not injured. Goebel's vehicle sustained minor damage. Christen's motorcycle sustained severe damage. The Monroe Rural Fire Department, the Green County Area EMS and Med-flight assisted at the scene.

The following incidents occurred on Friday, September, 23, 2022:

DOMESTIC DISPUTE

At approximately 7:46 PM deputies responded to the W1700 block of CTH EE in the Town of Albany for a reported domestic dispute. As a result of the investigation, Owen D. Boss, Albany, 22, was arrested for disorderly conduct, battery, false imprisonment and intimidation of a victim. Boss was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE:

At approximately 9:17 PM deputies responded to the N3600 block of STH 81 in the Town of Monroe for a reported domestic dispute. As a result of the investigation, Shane M. Segner, Monroe, 43, was arrested for disorderly conduct, battery, resisting arrested, and a Department of Corrections probation hold. Segner was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.

The following incident occurred on Thursday, September 22, 2022: 

Disorderly Conduct –  

At approximately 9:44 PM, Deputies responded to the 300 block of N. Mechanic St., Village of Albany, for a report of an altercation between two subjects.  

Investigation resulted in Ashley N. Eimermann, 40 of Albany, being placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct falling under the Wisconsin Domestic Abuse laws. Ashley was housed in the Green County Jail pending posting of her bond or her initial court appearance.  

Further investigation resulted in Michael T. Pozsgay, 33 of Brodhead, being arrested for Strangulation and Suffocation. Michael was jailed pending his initial court appearance.

The following incident occurred on Wednesday, September, 21, 2022:

TRESPASSING

At approximately 5:38 AM deputies responded to N9200 block of Legler Rd in the Town of Brooklyn for an unwanted subject at the residence. The subject refused to leave when asked to do so. As a result Abby L. Jenson, 35, homeless, was arrested for trespassing. She was transported to the Green County Jail.
