2022 Sheriff's Department Press Releases Posted on November 20, 2022

The following events occurred on November 19, 2022:

All person’s arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash-Property Damage:

 

At 11:13 a.m., Deputies responded to the 300 block of Vine Street, in the Village of Albany, for the report of a two-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Diontay M. Davis 39, of Janesville was attempting to back into a driveway when it collided with another vehicle. Davis was not injured, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Davis’ vehicle did not sustain damage and was driven from the scene.

 

The second vehicle was operated by Amanda L. Hedlund 32, of Albany. Hedlund and her passengers reported no injuries, were wearing their seatbelts, and the airbags did not deploy. Hedlund’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.

 

Motor Vehicle Crash-Property Damage:

 

At 11:55 a.m., Deputies responded to the N8200 block of State Highway 69, in the Town of New Glarus for the report of a two-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Jesse E. Schneiter 33, of Monroe was in the northbound lane waiting to make a left hand turn when his vehicle was rear-ended. Schneiter reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Schneiter’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.

 

The second vehicle was operated by Kenneth L. Morrison Jr. 64, of Burlington. Morrison reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did deploy. Morrison’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was removed from the scene. Investigation resulted in Morrison being cited for Inattentive Driving. Morrison was released pending court. The New Glarus Police Department assisted at the scene.
