The following events occurred on November 15,2022:
All person’s arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-INJURY:
At 7:08 a.m., Deputies, along with Monroe Rural Fire Department and Green County EMS responded to the W7000 block of State Highway 11 for a single vehicle rollover crash.
Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by William L. Kuntz 20, of Monroe was traveling westbound on State Highway 11. When Kuntz lost control of the vehicle due to the snowy road conditions. The vehicle entered the south ditch and rolled over. Kuntz sustained minor injuries. Kuntz reported wearing his seatbelt and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
Kuntz was cited for Operate Motor Vehicle without Insurance. Kuntz was released pending court.
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:
At 8:42 a.m., Deputies, along with Brooklyn Fire Department and Brooklyn EMS responded to the W700 block of Yarwood Road for a car versus power pole crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Chad R. Karolczak 18, of Brooklyn was traveling eastbound on Yarwood Road, when he lost control of his vehicle due to the snowy road conditions. The vehicle then entered the ditch and collided with a power pole. Karolczak advised of no injuries and was wearing his seatbelt. The vehicle airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.
DRUG/NARCOTICS VIOLATION:
At 2:35 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a speed violation in the W4200 block of State Highway 11. Investigation resulted in the driver, Jericho Z. Blades 21, of Monticello being arrested for Manufacture/Delivery of THC and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Blades was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.
OWI/MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-INJURY:
On 11/16/22 at 12:13 a.m., Deputies, along with Brodhead Fire Department and Brodhead EMS responded to the N2400 block of County Highway GG for the report of a single vehicle roll over crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Andrew J. Gutzmer 22, of Monticello was traveling westbound on State Highway 81. Gutzmer failed to stop at the stop sign and proceeded onto County Highway GG. The vehicle then entered the west ditch and collided with a building. The vehicle then overturned. Gutzmer reported wearing his seatbelt and the vehicle airbags deployed. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Gutzmer was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigation resulted in Gutzmer being arrested for operating while under the influence (1st) (alcohol). Gutzmer was later released to a responsible party pending court. The Brodhead Police Department assisted at the scene.
