All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The following incidents occurred on Monday, October, 03, 2022:
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH
At approximately 4:13 AM deputies responded to the N4400 block of STH 104 in the Town of Decatur for a two vehicle crash. During the investigation it was learned a vehicle driven by Connie M. Burhans, 64, Evansville, was traveling S/B on STH 104 and a farm tractor pulling a piece of farm implement operated by Titus W. Near, Brodhead, 35, was traveling N/B on STH 104. The Burhans' vehicle collided with the farm implement. Burhans sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Monroe. She was wearing a seatbelt and the airbag deployed. Near was not wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. Burhans' vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Near was able to remove the farm implement from the scene. The Brodhead EMS and Fire Department assisted at the scene. |

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH
At approximately 2:24 PM, Deputies responded to the N5100 block of CTH J, Town of Washington, for a report of a single vehicle rollover accident with no injuries. Contact was made with Nicholas C Hunt, 19, of Elroy, who reported being northbound on CTH J when he neared the gravel shoulder. Hunt advised he overcorrected, entered the East ditch, and his vehicle and trailer turned onto its side. Hunt reported no injury, no airbag deployment, and reported wearing his seatbelt. Hunt's vehicle sustained disabling damage. Hunt was cited for failure to secure load and released with a court date. |
