The following incidents occurred on, Monday, November, 7, 2022:
Accident- Personal Injury
At 5:11 a.m. GRSO Deputies, Juda FD and Green County EMS responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries, at the intersection of STH 11 and CTH OK, Town of Spring Grove. A vehicle operated by Felipe Herrera Duran, 60, Monroe, was facing eastbound on STH 11, waiting to turn left/northbound onto CTH OK, with his left turn signal illuminated. An eastbound truck operated by Kevin William Tucker, 29, Worthington, IA, failed to stop for the vehicle waiting to turn, and rear ended the vehicle operated by Herrera Duran. This collision pushed Herrera Duran's vehicle into the ditch.
Herrera Duran's vehicle sustained disabling rear end damage and was towed from the scene. There was no airbag deployment. Herrera Duran reported wearing his seatbelt and was transported for injuries sustained in the crash. Herrera Duran was cited for OAR- Alcohol and was released pending a mandatory court date.
The truck operated by Tucker sustained moderate front end damage and there was no airbag deployment. The truck was driven from the scene. Tucker reported wearing his seatbelt. Tucker was cited for inattentive driving and released with a non mandatory court date.
