All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The following incident occurred on Sunday, October 17, 2021:
Traffic Crime –
At approximately 10:13 AM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the W3000 block of State Highway 11, Town of Jefferson. The traffic investigation resulted in the operator, Selena M. Collins, 21 of Monroe, being cited for Operating Without a Valid License, 2nd offense within three years. Selena was also cited for speeding, for doing 77MPH in a posted 55MPH zone.
Selena was released with a future court appearance to a valid driver.
Motorcycle Crash With Injury –
At approximately 12:43 PM, Deputies, the Juda Fire Department, Monroe EMS, and Monroe Paramedics, responded to the intersection of Greenbush Rd. and Monroe-Sylvester Rd., Town of Sylvester, for a report of a single motorcycle crash with injuries.
Investigation revealed that the operator, Carol L. Green, 48 of Orfordville, was negotiating a left curve in the roadway when she entered the shoulder of the road and lost control. Carol was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained non-life threatening injuries that she was later transported by Monroe EMS for.
Carol was wearing her helmet, eye protection and appropriate riding gear. The motorcycle was removed from the scene by Don’s Towing.
