All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The following incidents occurred on Sunday, August 1, 2021:

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At approximately 12:20 a.m., Deputies responded to the W5800 block of Old Argyle Rd in the Town of Monroe for a report of a vehicle in the ditch.  Upon Deputies arrival, the vehicle was found to be unoccupied and the driver had fled the scene.  Investigation revealed that the vehicle was traveling on Old Argyle Rd when the vehicle exited the roadway.  The vehicle then collided with a mailbox and a culvert.  The vehicle sustained damage and the airbags did not deploy.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.  The crash remains under investigation. 

Domestic Abuse Arrest:

At approximately 4:12 p.m., Deputies responded to a residence in the N7900 block of Gould Hill Rd in the Town of York for a report of a disturbance.  Investigation resulted in Donald L. Wankerl, 54, Blanchardville, WI, and Michele L. Roosa, 58, Blanchardville, WI, both being arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Damage to Property (Domestic Abuse related).  Both Wankerl and Roosa were incarcerated in the Green County Jail pending the posting of bond or an initial court appearance.
