All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The following incidents occurred on Saturday, October 30, 2021:

Motor Vehicle Crash:

At approximately 12:11 p.m., Deputies, Brodhead EMS, Orfordville EMS, and the Brodhead Fire Department responded to the intersection of STH 81 and CTH T in the Town of Spring Grove for a report of a two vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that Oliver P. Swift, 19, Davis, IL, was traveling southbound on CTH T approaching the intersection with STH 81.  Swift stopped at the Stop Sign, then pulled out into the roadway.   Swift’s vehicle then collided with an eastbound vehicle that was being operated by Sebastian Zamudio Arreola, 21, South Beloit, IL.  

Swift reported that he was wearing his seatbelt and he sustained minor injuries in the crash.   Swift’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and the airbags did not deploy.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.  

Zamudio Arreola and his adult passenger both reported that they were wearing their seatbelts.  Both Zamudio Arreola and the passenger sustained injuries in the crash and were transported by EMS to an area hospital.  Zamudio Arreola’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and the airbags deployed.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.  

The crash remains under investigation.  

The Brodhead Police Department assisted Deputies at the scene.  

Domestic Abuse Arrest:

At approximately 6:59 p.m., Deputies responded to a business in the N8500 block of Klitzke Rd in the Town of New Glarus for a report of an altercation.  Investigation resulted in Dennis L. Holverson, 58, Browntown, WI, being arrested for Disorderly Conduct – Domestic Abuse.  Holvesrson was booked into the Green County Jail and was released pending a court appearance after the posting of bond.
