The following incident occurred on Wednesday, November 03, 2021:
Motor Vehicle Crash with Injury –
At approximately 12:28 AM, Deputies, the Monroe Police Department, Green County EMS, and the Monroe Rural Fire Department responded to the N220 block of Bethel Rd., Town of Clarno, for a single vehicle crash with injury.
Investigation revealed that the operator, Brandon S. Richardson, 32 of Monroe, was traveling south on Bethel Rd. when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle exited the roadway on the east shoulder of the road. The vehicle then struck an embankment causing it to go airborne over the driveway of a nearby residence. After landing, the vehicle continued to roll, where it became airborne once again, striking branches in a nearby tree. The vehicle came to a rest off of the roadway after sustaining disabling damage. There was full airbag deployment and Brandon was presumed to not have been wearing his seatbelt. Brandon was transported for medical evaluation by Green County EMS and the vehicle was removed by Jelle’s towing.
Brandon was subsequently placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol, 2nd offense. Brandon was also cited for Failure to Maintain Control, Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle and for Possession of THC. Brandon was given a future court date and was released to the hospital to continue further medical evaluation.
