The following incident occurred on Friday, November 12, 2021:
Motor Vehicle Crash –
At approximately 7:29 AM, deputies responded to the W7000 block of Vinger Rd., Town of Adams, for a report of a one vehicle crash.
Investigation revealed the operator, Thomas E. Coffey, 71 of Argyle, was traveling south on Vinger Rd., when he attempted to reach for his cell phone in the passenger seat. While doing this, Thomas’ vehicle entered the west shoulder of the roadway and struck a tree.
Thomas was not injured and reported wearing his seatbelt. There was no airbag deployment and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
