The following incident occurred on Saturday, November 13, 2021:
Motor Vehicle Crash with Injury –
At 12:39 PM, Deputies, Green County EMS, and the Monroe Rural Fire Department, responded to the W6500 block of State Highway 11, Town of Monroe, for a car vs deer crash with injury.
Investigation revealed that the operator, Paula McNaught, 51 of Eureka, IL, was traveling west when a deer entered the roadway striking the hood of her vehicle. Paula and her passenger both sustained minor injuries and were transported by Monroe EMS for further evaluation. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and there was airbag deployment. The vehicle was removed from the scene by Don’s Towing.
Warrant Arrest –
At approximately 6:39 PM, a walk-away Huber Inmate, Curtis L. Curry Jr., 25 of Janesville, turned himself in to the Green County Jail on an Escape warrant issued for his arrest. Curry was taken into custody and was booked in to the Green County Jail pending his initial court appearance.
