The following incidents occurred on Wednesday, November 24th, 2021:

Traffic Crime:

At approximately 3:27 AM, Deputies performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the W5200 block of State Highway 11, Town of Monroe. Investigations resulted in the driver Reginald L Reed, 43, of Beloit, being cited for Operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle without a CDL and Operate without a Lease Agreement.

Reed was issued a court date.

Accident- Property Damage:

At approximately 6:49 PM, Deputies responded near the intersection of State Highway 104 and Elmer Rd, Town of Brooklyn, for a report of a two vehicle accident.

Investigations found that a vehicle operated by Samantha J Ball, 29, of Brodhead was southbound on State Highway 104 when she proceeded to slow for a vehicle parked on the East side of the roadway. Another vehicle operated by Bailey M Miller, 19, of Leaf River (IL) was traveling southbound on State Highway 104, behind Ball.

As Ball’s vehicle slowed Miller failed to slow down and struck the rear of Ball’s vehicle. Ball and Miller reported no injuries, both reported wearing their seatbelts, and there was airbag deployment in Miller’s vehicle. Ball’s airbags did not deploy.

Ball’s vehicle was towed from the scene due to disabling damage. Miller’s vehicle was legally parked to be removed at a later time due to disabling damage.

Miller was cited for Following to Closely and given a court date.
