The following incidents occurred on Sunday, November 28th, 2021:
Accident-Personal Injury:
At approximately 2:28 AM, Deputies along with New Glarus EMS and the New Glarus Fire Department, responded to the W6900 block of State Highway 39, Town of New Glarus, for a single vehicle accident with injuries.
The driver was identified as Mellissa B.A. Garner, 41, of Platteville, who was westbound on State Highway 39 when she swerved to avoid a deer. Garner entered the South ditch and collided with a fence and an embankment. Garner reported wearing her seatbelt and the airbags did not deploy. Garner’s vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.
Garner was transported by EMS to receive further medical evaluation.
Garner was subsequently cited for Fail to Control Vehicle, Non-registration of Auto, and Display Unauthorized Registration.
