The following incidents occurred on Monday, December 13th, 2021:
Motor Vehicle Accident-Personal Injury:
At approximately 8:06 AM, Deputies along with the Monticello Fire Department, Green County EMS, and an Officer with the Monticello Police Department, responded to the N6900 block of State Highway 69, Town of Washington, for a report of a two-vehicle accident with injuries reported.
Investigations found that a vehicle driven by Heidi L Wing, 59, Monticello, was northbound and slowed to make a left-hand turn. Another northbound vehicle driven by Kayla J Andrews, 28, Monticello, failed to observe Wing’s vehicle slow to turn and struck Wing’s vehicle.
Wing reported wearing her seatbelt, no airbag deployment, and reported having an injury. Wing was transported by EMS for further medical care.
Andrews reported wearing her seatbelt, there was airbag deployment within her vehicle, and sustained injuries. Andrews’ juvenile passenger reported no injuries and was wearing proper child safety equipment. Andrews and her juvenile passenger were transported by EMS for further medical care.
Both Wing and Andrews’ vehicle sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene.
Andrews’ was issued a citation for driving too fast for conditions.
