The following incidents occurred on Tuesday, December 14th, 2021:
Motor Vehicle Accident-Personal Injury:
At approximately 4:53 PM, Deputies responded to the N8000 block of State Highway 69, Town of New Glarus, for a report of a car vs deer accident with injury.
The driver, Cheri L Riddle, 47, of Monroe, was southbound when a deer entered the roadway and collided with her vehicle. Riddle reported an injury, reported wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags deployed within the vehicle.
The vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene.
Aircraft Crash:
At approximately 4:59 PM, Deputies responded to the N2400 block of County Highway T, Town of Spring Grove, for a report of an aircraft crash with no injuries reported.
Investigations revealed the pilot to be Wayne K. Endthoff, 65, of Beloit, who reported experiencing engine failure. Endthoff was able to land the aircraft in a field near the airport. Endthoff reported no injuries and was wearing all required safety equipment.
As a result of the crash the aircraft sustained damages. The aircraft was later moved after notifying the proper authorities.
Motor Vehicle Accident-Personal Injury:
At approximately 10:55 PM, Deputies responded to the intersection of Holloway Rd and State Highway 69, Town of Washington, for a single vehicle accident with injuries.
Investigations revealed the driver, Autumn G Elmer, 16, of Brodhead, was northbound on State Highway 69 when she attempted to perform a turn onto Holloway Rd. As a result Elmer’s vehicle entered the North ditch. Elmer reported injury, was wearing her seatbelt, and no airbag deployment.
Elmer’s passengers were identified as Alexis M Dirks, 18, of Monroe, Kendyll C Kuebli, 19, of Monticello, and Mariah R Gilbertson, 17, of Brodhead. Kuebli and Gilbertson both sustained injuries and reported wearing their seatbelts. Dirks sustained injury and reported not wearing her seatbelt.
Elmer, Dirks, Kuebli, and Gilbertson were transported by EMS for further medical evaluation.
Elmer’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
Elmer was issued a citation for failure to maintain control.
