All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The following incident occurred on Saturday, December 18, 2021:
Traffic Crime –
At approximately 4:38 PM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of N5400 State HWY 69, Town of Washington.
Investigation resulted in the driver, Ashlyn R. Sheafor, 21 of Monroe, being warned for speeding and no proof of insurance. Ashlyn was also issued a citation for Operating After Revocation and was given a future court date.
Traffic Crash –
At approximately 6:56 PM, Deputies, The Brodhead Fire Department and Albany EMS, responded to the N3900 block of County HWY F, Town of Decatur, for a report of a vehicle vs telephone pole crash.
The driver, Sergio Martinez-Suarez, 28, of Brodhead, reported he was wearing his safety belt and was not injured. Sergio was driving north bound on CTH F when his vehicle had exited the roadway. The vehicle then re-entered the roadway and Sergio over corrected. The vehicle then exited the roadway to the northwest, striking an embankment, and collided with a power pole where it came to a rest. The vehicle sustained disabling damage with front airbag deployment. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Sergio was issued citations for Operating Without a Valid License (2nd Offense W/in 3 years), Operate Without Valid Insurance and Failure to Maintain Control of the vehicle. Sergio was released with a future court date.
Traffic Crime on 12/17/2021 –
At approximately 11:11 AM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the W5200 bock of State HWY 11, Town of Monroe.
Investigation resulted in the driver, Michael J. Billups, 37 of Beloit, being cited for speed, 93 MPH in a posted 55 MPH zone, and for Operating a Motor vehicle Without an Ignition Interlock Device. Michael was released with a future court date.
