The following incidents occurred on Tuesday, December 21st, 2021:
Motor Vehicle Accident- Personal Injury:
At approximately 12:56 PM, Deputies responded to the intersection of English Settlement Rd and State Highway 104, Town of Albany, for a report of a two vehicle accident.
Investigations determined a vehicle operated by Ran Yoo, 37, of Brodhead, was southbound when a northbound vehicle, operated by John J Cwiok, 80, of Hanover Park, failed to yield the right of way while making a left hand turn onto English Settlement from State Highway 104. As a result Cwiok’s vehicle struck Yoo’s vehicle.
Yoo reported wearing her seatbelt, the airbags did not deploy, and she reported an injury. Cwiok reported wearing his seatbelt, reported no injury, and the airbags in his vehicle deployed.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Cwiok was cited for Fail to yield the right of way while making a left turn.
