2021 Sheriff's Department Press Releases Posted on December 26, 2021

All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The following incident occurred on Saturday, December 25, 2021: 

Motor Vehicle Crash with Injury –  

At approximately 5:31 AM, Deputies, the Argyle Fire Department and Argyle EMS, responded to the W8900 block of County Highway C, Town of Adams, for a report of a single vehicle crash with injury.  

Investigation revealed that the operator was Santos G. Murillo-Salgado, 44 of Monticello. It was found that Santos lost control of the vehicle and entered the ditch. All three occupants of the vehicle escaped prior to the vehicle becoming engulfed in flames. All occupants of the vehicle reported wearing their seatbelts and all were transported with minor injuries to be evaluated.  

Santos was issued citations for Failure to Maintain Control and for Operating Without a Valid License, 2nd Offense within 3 years.  

Traffic Crime –  

At approximately 8:45 AM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of 18th Ave., City of Monroe. Investigation resulted in the operator, Nelson N. Perea-Lopez, 22 of Beloit, being cited for Operating Without a Valid License, 2nd Offense within 3 years.
