All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The following incident occurred on Tuesday, December 28, 2021:
Motor Vehicle Crash –
At approximately 10:43 AM, Deputies responded to the intersection of W Main St. and Taylor Rd., Village of Albany, for a report of a vehicle vs. semi crash.
Investigation determined that the operator of the vehicle, Timothy S. Miller, 35 of Winslow, was negotiating a curve on while traveling east and lost traction on the snow. The vehicle collided with a semi unit that was on the roadway. The vehicle and the semi did not have airbag deployment and were driven from the scene. The driver of the semi, Eugene Hasse, 73 of Monroe, and Timothy both reported wearing their seatbelts and were not injured. Citations are pending due to the investigation being ongoing.
Motor Vehicle Crash –
At approximately 12:22 PM, deputies responded to the area of W3000 State Highway 11, Town of Jefferson, for a report of a three vehicle crash.
Investigation determined a juvenile driver, Kaelyn, 17, was traveling east on STH 11 when she attempted to brake and lost control of her vehicle. Kaelyn entered the westbound lane where she was struck by a vehicle being operated by Gavin G. Garrett, 28 of Oregon. Kaelyn’s vehicle was then struck by another westbound vehicle being operated by David P. Kedley, 68 of Potasi. All drivers reported wearing their seatbelts and not being injured. Kaelyn’s vehicle was towed from the scene and all others were driven from the scene. There was no airbag deployment in any vehicle. Kaelyn was issued a citation for Operating Left of center.
Motor Vehicle Crash –
At approximately 5:44 PM, Deputies responded to the area of N700 State Highway 104, for a report of a one vehicle crash.
Investigation determined that the operator, Suyapa L. Ulloa-Figueroa, 42 of Arlington, IL, was traveling south and slid into the ditch due to the snow covered road. Suyapa’s vehicle then struck a fence and became stuck in the ditch. Suyapa was not injured, was wearing her seatbelt and there was no airbag deployment. The vehicle was removed from the ditch without issue.
