Motor Vehicle Crash - Personal Injury

At 10:18 PM, Deputies along with New Glarus Fire, and Belleville EMS, responded to the N9000 blk of STH 69, Town of New Glarus, for a report of a two vehicle crash with injuries.  The investigation resulted in a north bound vehicle on STH 69 operated by Pamela J. Johnson-Wiot, 58 of Freeport, stopped due to approximately 20 turkeys being in the roadway. While waiting for them to move, Johnson-Wiot’s vehicle was rear ended by another north bound vehicle operated by Benjamin A. Diddens, 19 of Freeport. Johnson-Wiot and her two passengers all reported wearing seatbelts and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Johnson-Wiot’s vehicle sustained disabling damage with no airbag deployment and was towed from the scene. Diddens reported wearing his seatbelt and not being injured. Diddens’ vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment and was towed from the scene. Diddens was issued a citation for inattentive driving.
