Motor Vehicle Crash - Property Damage

At 1:38 PM, Deputies responded to the W4200 block of Exeter Crossing Rd., in the Town of Exeter, for a single vehicle crash.  The investigation found that Violet M. Lounsbury, 17, of Belleville, was driving westbound when she lost control of the vehicle due to snow covered roads.  The vehicle then entered the north ditch and collided with a tree. Lounsbury advised that she was uninjured and wearing her seatbelt.  Lounsbury’s vehicle sustained disabling damage, without airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene.  The investigation resulted in Lounsbury being cited for Failure to Notify Law Enforcement of an Accident.  Additionally, Laura K.M. Lounsbury, 53, of Belleville, was cited for Knowingly Assist Person Fleeing an Accident Scene.  Both parties were released pending court.
