On Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at approximately 4:30 PM, the Green County Sheriff's Office executed a residential search warrant in the 200 block of W South St, in the Village of Browntown, County of Green, State of Wisconsin. The search warrant stemmed from an investigation into suspected child neglect.

As a result of the investigation, three adults were arrested on charges of Child Neglect (contrary to WI SS 948.21) and conveyed to the Green County Jail where they will be held without bond pending official issuance of criminal charges and an initial appearance in Green County Circuit Court;

The Green County Sheriff’s Office is conducting this investigation in collaboration with Green County Human Services – Children, Youth, and Family unit. Browntown Fire Department, Green County EMS, and the Green County Health Department also assisted in this investigation. The investigation remains active and no additional releases are planned at this time.
