The following events occurred on October 23, 2025:

All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

MVC - Personal Injury:

At 4:20 PM, Deputies along with Monticello FD and Albany EMS, responded to a two vehicle crash with injuries at the intersection of Zurfluh Rd and Schneeberger Rd, Town of Mt Pleasant. Sarah A Schubert, 15, New Glarus, was southbound on Schneeberger Rd preparing to turn East onto Zurfluh Rd.  Schubert reported performing a hard turn and slid on the gravel striking a parked vehicle, occupied by Sonya L Killebrew, 44, Waycross, GA, on Zurfluh Rd.  Danica S Killebrew, 17, Waycross, GA, sustained an injury as she was standing behind the parked vehicle when Schubert's vehicle struck the Killebrew vehicle.  Danica was transported to an area hospital via EMS Sonya reported wearing her seatbelt and was uninjured.  Sonya’s vehicle sustained damage and was towed from the scene.  There was no airbag deployment.

Schubert and her passenger reported wearing their seatbelts and were uninjured.  The vehicle Schubert was operating sustained functional front end damage with no airbag deployment.  This vehicle was driven from the scene.   Schubert was cited for Violation of GDL restrictions and released with a court date.
