On Thursday, October 9, 2025 Green County Deputies were alerted to contraband being brought into the Green County Jail and delivered to an inmate in a housing unit.  During the investigation it was identified that a deputy was responsible for delivering the items of contraband to inmates on multiple occasions.  It was further determined that the item of contraband was coffee and was being concealed in property being dropped off for an inmate.  

As a result of the investigation Dustin J. Andrews 39, of Monroe was arrested for;

• Deliver Articles to an Inmate - Class I Felony WI Stat. 302.095

• Misconduct in Public Office - Class I Felony, WI Stat. 946.12

Sheriff Kanable immediately terminated Andrews employment as a Deputy Sheriff and filed the revocation of oath with the Clerk of Circuit Court.  Andrews had been employed with the Sheriff’s Office since October 7, 2024.  Andrews is being held in custody pending his initial court appearance. 

The safety and security of the jail is of highest priority for the Sheriff’s Office.  The deliberate misconduct of one individual does not represent the employees and deputies of the Sheriff’s Office as a whole.  The value of integrity and public trust can only be maintained through high standards and willingness to hold ourselves to those standards.
