The following events occurred on December 14, 2024:

All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Traffic Offense:

At 7:06 AM, Deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding in the N4200 block of STH 69, Town of Monroe.  Jonathan A Neblock, 29, of Orangeville, was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating without a valid DL.  Neblock was released with a court date.

MVC - Property Damage:

At 8:23 PM, Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash in the W6600 block of STH 81, Town of Monroe.  Seth M Schmidt, 18, of Monroe, was eastbound when he advised he slid on some ice, and lost control of the vehicle.  Schmidt struck a guardrail on the southside of the road ,and then a guardrail post.  The vehicle slid along the guardrail until it struck a guardrail post, and turned onto its side.  Schmidt reported wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured.  There was no airbag deployment, and the vehicle sustained disabling damage.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.
