The following events occurred on December 6, 2024:

Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage

At 6:56 AM, Deputies responded to the N1000 block of CTH K, in the Town of Jefferson, for a single vehicle crash without injury.  The driver, Hayden A. Valdivia, 21, of Dakota, advised he was traveling northbound when a southbound vehicle traveled into his lane.  Valdivia said he then swerved into the east shoulder to avoid a collision, lost control of his vehicle, and then entered the west ditch where he struck a culvert and fence.  Valdivia advised he was uninjured and wearing his seatbelt.  The vehicle sustained disabling damage, with airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene.  

Operating While under the Influence

At 6:50 PM, Deputies responded to the W1800 block of Purintun Rd., in the Town of Albany, for a vehicle parked in the roadway.  The investigation resulted in the driver, Eric J. Thompson, 41, of Albany, being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence and Resisting an Officer.   Thompson was additionally cited for Possession of Open Intoxicants in his vehicle.  Thompson was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court.
