Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage

At 9:21 PM, Deputies, along with Brodhead FD and Brodhead EMS, responded to the N4200 block of CTH E, in the Town of Decatur, for a single vehicle crash with no injuries.  The investigation found that the driver, Bryce R. Hughes, 18, of Brooklyn, was traveling northbound when he swerved to avoid a deer in the road.  Hughes then lost control of his vehicle, slid across the road and into the west ditch where his vehicle struck an electrical box and then came to a rest. Hughes advised he was uninjured and wearing his seatbelt.  His vehicle sustained disabling damage, with airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene.  Hughes was later cited for Driving Too Fast for Conditions and released pending court.  Brodhead PD assisted at the scene.
