2024 Sheriff's Department Press Releases Posted on October 06, 2024

The following events occurred on October 5, 2024:

All person’s arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.


MVC-PI

At 12:34 PM, Deputies along with Green EMS and Monroe Rural FD responded to the N2100

block of STH 69, Town of Clarno, for a report of an accident with injuries.  A northbound vehicle  operated by Dustin L Eells, 65, of Monroe,  struck a vehicle operated by Ryan L Cessna, 39, Monroe, while Eells was performing a passing maneuver on the right.  Eells’ vehicle crossed in front of Cessna's vehicle, and went down an embankment on the west side of the road. 


Cessna and his juvenile passenger both denied injury and  reported wearing their seatbelts.  There was no airbag deployment. Eells sustained an injury, and seatbelt usage is unknown.  There was no airbag deployment. Eells was transported by EMS for medical treatment suspected of contributing to the incident. 


Cessna's vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene. Eells’ vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.


Traffic Offense

At 5:43 p.m. Jose Migel Baldivia Robles, 43, Monroe, was stopped for speeding and passing into oncoming traffic in the N4400 block of STH 69, Town of Monroe.  He was cited for speeding, No Valid DL, False Display of Registration, and Failure of Transferee to Obtain Title.  He was warned for no proof of insurance and passing into oncoming traffic.  He was released with a court date.


Disorderly Conduct

At 9:37 p.m. Deputies responded to several 911 calls about a disorderly person in the 100 block of N Jackson St, in the Village of Albany.  The subject had fled the scene prior to Deputies arrival.  The investigation is still ongoing.
