The following events occurred on November 8, 2023:

OWI:
At 5:47 p.m., Deputies responded to the W6500 block of Legler Valley Road, in the Town of New Glarus for the report of a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Shane W. Reinicke, 44 of Blanchardville had attempted to turn around when he backed through a fence in the south ditch. Reinicke reported non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The vehicle sustained minor damage and the airbags did not deploy. Investigation resulted in Reinicke being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence (1st-Alcohol). Reinicke was further cited for Failure to Keep Vehicle Under Control. Reinicke was released pending court.
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:
At 7:36 p.m., Deputies responded to the N3700 block of County Highway J, in the Town of Monroe, for the report of a vehicle versus cow crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Bradley D. Stewart, 53 of Monroe was traveling southbound when a cow entered the roadway and collided with his vehicle. Stewart reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.
