All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The following incident occurred on Saturday, October 15, 2023:

OWI Arrest - 

At approximately 9:56 PM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speed in the W2800 block of State Highway 92, Town of Exeter. Investigation resulted in the operator, John E. Ellis, 35 of Fitchburg, being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol - 3rd Offense. John was also cited for speeding, Operating After Revocation due to Alcohol, and Failure to Install an Ignition Interlock Device. John was housed at the Green County Jail pending his initial court appearance or posting of his bond. 

OWI Arrest - 

At approximately 12:39 AM, Deputies located a subject, Marcos R. Morales-Morales, 22 of Darlington, walking along the roadway in the N3200 block of State Highway 81, Town of Monroe. Investigation resulted in Deputies locating a crashed vehicle nearby that Marcos had been operating. Marcos was traveling north on STH 81, when he lost control of his vehicle, exited the into the east ditch and rolled his vehicle. Marcos sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated on scene by EMS. 

Marcos was subsequently arrested for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol - 1st Offense. Marcos was later released to a responsible party pending his future court date. Marcos will be issued additional citations in the near future for the crash, but they are curently pending.
